We will take a look at the vast history from the fall of the Roman empire in the 5th century to just before the creation of the country that we now call Italy.
We are going to focus on a few aspects, first we will look at how the italian peninsula was goverened before it was united as one country, then we’re going to focus on what languages were spoken (There were a lot!) and if they were the same as the italian that is spoken today and widely known today.
